All students will receive one free copy of IGI's new edition of al-Nawawi's Arba'in, with free shipping to the USA and UK. This is a pre-order; book ships Friday 9/16/22.
Across the world, from the east to the west, The 40 Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi is often the first, and sometimes the only, Hadith text many Muslims study in their lives. Known in Arabic simply as the Arba'in, "The Forty," this is without question the most widely-known and widely-read small compilation of Prophetic hadith.
Beginning in September Shaykh Abdullah Anik Misra will guide a cohort of students through this foundational text.
Course schedule: Every Tuesday starting September 20th, 2022 until November 22nd, 2022 (1pm ET; 6pm British) – All sessions will be recorded if you cannot attend live.
The course will include:
In-depth discussion of each hadith, including why it was selected and how it serves as a central proof text in at least one area of the Islamic sciences
Overview of the extraordinary richness of meaning in the language of each Hadith
Discussion of the relevance and application of each Hadith in modern daily life
Time for Q&A in each class
Access to a private chat group with the instructor for additional questions and discussion
A personalized 'ijaza will be given to every student who completes the course. This 'ijaza includes a complete sanad from Shaykh Abdullah Anik Misra back to Imam al-Nawawi, written in Arabic with a parallel English translation. Each 'ijaza will be personally signed by Shaykh Misra for each student. Shipping and handling for the 'ijaza is included within the USA and UK.
The IGI edition of The 40 Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi includes:
New translation of each Hadith
Succinct gems to ponder the significance and major themes of each Hadith
This is a beautiful edition that is easy and pleasurable to read, that you will return to again and again, and that we hope will live on your shelf for many years to come.
