Seerah Book Bundle

IGI has published the first English translations of two works of Seerah:

• The Luminous Moons by Shaykh Salih al-Ja’fari

• Who is the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ? by Habib ‘Umar bin Hafiz

These works may be unlike any Seerah the reader has encountered before. The word "Seerah" is usually translated as "Prophetic biography,” specifically the biography of Allah's Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. However, the use of the English word "biography" inevitably brings to mind other English works in this genre, about worldly figures.

Each of these works affords its subject the honor and reverence with which Muslims have traditionally regarded our Prophet ﷺ. They may transform the reader’s understanding of the genre of Seerah, as each one relates the Prophetic biography as a true expression of love.

Both books contain the original voweled Arabic text and English translation on facing pages, to facilitate study of the language and help English speakers become familiar with their authors’ masterful Arabic. They are suitable for reading in gathering, and for memorizing by adults and children.
