Shaykh 'Abdullah Siraj al-Din's Recitation of the Glorious Qur'an brings together both conceptual and practical knowledge related to Allah's Book. The reader will be equipped with both a stronger understanding of the realities of Allah's Book, as well as a detailed set of actionable steps and best practices to develop a stronger and more beneficial relationship with the Final Revelation.
This text begins with a discussion of the virtues and unique characteristics of the Qur'an, then some of the benefits of both recitation and memorization. It then covers manners and etiquette related to recitation as well as the completion of a khatm. The practices of the Companions رضي الله عنهم and righteous scholars with respect to the Qur'an are referenced throughout, both in a dedicated section of the text well as in hundreds of documented narrations mentioned throughout the work. The text also mentions specific virtues and benefits of reciting particular Surahs, and concludes by discussing issues related to respect for the physical text of the Qur'an, the mushaf.
This edition includes Arabic text with full vowels, as well as English translation on facing pages. Citations for verses of the Qur'an and Hadith narrations are given in footnotes.
