Designed for anyone seeking a deeper understanding of Allah's Final Revelation, this course will be a journey through Imam al-Suyuti's Inner Dimensions from the Order of the Surahs in the Qur'an, a unique and original analysis of the structure of the Book of Allah. Classes will be led by IGP's Translator-in-Residence, Ustadh Talut Dawood.
Imam al-Suyuti's text draws on his knowledge Hadith, Tafsir, history, and the Arabic language to make an extraordinary range of connections and insights. Many aspects of this work are accessible to readers of all levels. However, like the Qur'an itself, Inner Dimensions from the Order of the Surahs in the Qur'an contains many layers of meanings, some of which are not at all obvious at first.
As the translator of this book, Ustadh Talut is intimately familiar with Imam al-Suyuti's brilliance. Over the course of this class, he will help us to better understand the Imam's insights, which reveal many hidden layers of meaning of the Qur'an, and intricate interconnections across many levels of language, meanings, context, purpose, and more.
